The California NeuroAIDS
Tissue Network (CNTN), funded by the National Institute of
Mental Health, is a resource providing matched in vivo clinical
data and neuropathologic specimens for neuroscientists studying
the pathophysiology of HIV-1-related cognitive disorders and
other aspects of neuroAIDS.
The National NeuroAIDS
Tissue Consortium (NNTC) is supported by the National Institutes
of Health and was established in 1988 to collect, store, and
distribute samples of nervous tissue, cerebrospinal fluid, blood,
and other tissue from HIV-1-infected individuals.
The National
Neurological Research Specimen Bank (NNRSB) is a collection
of human post-mortem, quick frozen brain and spinal fluid specimens
for use in studies of the etiopathogenesis of neurological and
psychiatric diseases.
