Getting to Toronto

Arriving by air

Two major airports serve the Toronto metropolitan area: Toronto International Pearson Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

  • Toronto International Pearson Airport (YYZ) is located 22 km (15 mi) west of downtown Toronto. Transfer services by limousine or taxi require approximately 30-45 minutes for travel between the airport and the hotel. A typical one-way taxi ride between the hotel and airport will typically cost approximately $55 (CAD).

Another option for transportation between the airport and hotel is the Union Pearson Express (UP Express), which connects Toronto Pearson International Airport to Union Station in the heart of downtown in just 25 minutes. UP Express trains depart every 15 minutes, 19 ½ hours a day between 5:30 am and 1:00 am Union Station is located 4 blocks from the hotel. One-way tickets are around $27.50 (CAD) for an adult.

  • Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) is located 2.5 km (1.5 mi) from the downtown area. Billy Bishop Toronto Airport offers service to over 22 cities in Canada and the U.S., with connections to over 80 international destinations. The 10 minute taxi ride between the airport and downtown Toronto will cost approximately $15.00 (CAD).

Things to do in and around Toronto

Located in downtown Toronto just a few blocks from Lake Ontario's northwestern shore, the Omni King Edward Hotel is conveniently positioned in the financial, entertainment, and shopping districts of the city. Local attractions include the CN Tower & Edgewalk, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Princess of Wales Theatre, and the Art Gallery of Toronto. For shopping of all kinds, visit Old Town Toronto, the St. Lawrence Farmers Market, the Distillery District, and the Toronto Eaton Center. If you have time for a day trip, scenic Niagara Falls is less than 90 minutes away by car.
